I grew up in my dad’s factory, so I spent most of my childhood surrounded by industrial machines and dusty tools instead of cute dolls. One of my favorite activity was making my own toys with rough materials like metal, wood, broken sensors next to my dad when he built or customized his machines. I was really fascinated by how dead materials reborn as moving, dynamic and alive objects through our hands.
I believe it had a huge impact for me to be a designer.
I think, design, make and code to make physical and digital things to communicate and response to people and the world. I love to explore new technologies and how they can be used to create a new paradigm of the way people interact with the world.
My name is Inae Song and I am a recent graduate of ArtCenter College of Design with a BS in Interaction design.
